An Interview With Candice Georgiadis

Tag locations and businesses visited. This helps with exposure. When we stay at a hotel or visit a restaurant, we make sure to tag them, so the location knows we visited.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Kelsea and Cole Moscatel of Snob World. The newlyweds (and now parents to a baby boy) are passionate international explorers who offer years of experience and sharp critical evaluation to savvy travelers. Snob World is playful, but it also speaks to what they feel consumers really deserve — only the finest in everything! Snob World, offers direct access inside Cole and Kelsea’s opulent travels where they highlight the coolest and most lavish hotels & resorts, restaurants, fashion, family travel tips, and thrilling things to do; as well as tricks for traveling solo, as a couple, as a group, and with children. Since early childhood, Kelsea has been a passionate DIY creator, while Cole launched his first business venture, a dog washing company (at age 12). Both have not looked back, continuing to find and nurture a variety of successful business projects. Along their journey, Cole and Kelsea came to find romance with each other, a story very similar to a teen rom com’s charming narrative. The pair had grown up together as next door neighbors in Redlands, California with divorced mothers who were best friends. Eventually, Cole and Kelsea fell in love. Flash forward to saying “I do” in 2016, to two years later when they welcomed their first child, and now to today. Their main goal with this new platform is to “share the world with the world” and showcase the ways in which we all need to take time for ourselves, away from the stress of life, whether it’s alone, with a significant other, with family, or with friends.

Thank you so much for doing this with us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Kelsea and I love to travel a lot and explore new places. So, we decided to showcase our adventures for anyone who is interested in learning how to travel the right way, especially people who travel with children like ourselves. Because travel is what ultimately what brought Kelsea and I together and formed our relationship, we decided to start our brand and share our tips for traveling with the world. People kept telling us that once we had a child, our lives would change significantly and our traveling lifestyle would never be the same. So, that made us want to prove that myth wrong and show the world how a child does not mean you can’t still enjoy an incredible trip around the world. In fact, we now travel more than ever with the baby, and it has brought us so much closer as a family. There are many platforms out there that highlight travel, but we wanted to make sure that we differentiate ourselves by providing a unique luxurious perspective from a husband’s, wife’s, and child’s point of view.

Can you explain to our readers why you are an authority about Social Media Marketing?

We like to give our followers a new and fresh perspective on travel in hopes of inspiring them to go out and experience traveling for themselves. Kelsea and I are constantly traveling, trying new adventures, and learning the best ways to do so. Through all of our experiences, we have gained great insight on how to do all of those things in an upscale way. Therefore, we have been able to obtain an authoritative figure on Social Media Marketing, because we have used the platform as a way to not only share our experiences, but also as a way to give advice to those who are interested or want to do the same. We make sure to focus on local businesses wherever we go, that way we give our followers ideas as to where to go that they might not be familiar with. Ever since our social media accounts have gained such a large following, we have been able to market to more and more people which gives those places and events we are marketing a lot more exposure.

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

I definitely think the funniest thing that has happened to us more than once is that our baby Zayden somehow got his hands on my phone and posted random floor and shoe pictures! The most important lesson we learned was that when we post on different platforms we need to make sure we are posting accurate information on the places and events we attended. For example, there were a couple of instances where we posted a picture of an event that we attended and accidentally tagged the wrong handle or location, so that was a little confusing for everyone. Now, we double check before we post that we are tagging the exact place or handle of whatever it is we are uploading.

Which social media platform have you found to be most effective to use to increase business revenues? Can you share a story from your experience?

We’ve noticed that we have had the most outreach and exposure through Instagram because it is so easy to tag places and businesses and because it’s visual. People are initially attracted to visuals, if they see something they like, it will inspire them to go there and visit. As well, often-times businesses or companies will reach out through DM’s or comment on our posts, which in turn adds awareness to our platform while bringing in new followers. Instagram makes it easy for a company to not only get in touch with people, but also makes it easy for them to get exposure to more people through using an influencer with a high following.

Let’s talk about Instagram specifically, now. Can you share 6 ways to leverage Instagram to dramatically improve your business? Please share a story or example for each.

  1. Tag locations and businesses visited.

This helps with exposure. When we stay at a hotel or visit a restaurant, we make sure to tag them, so the location knows we visited.

2. Make captions fun to read.

Be creative. Make your followers look forward to your posts.

3. Make sure to post the best picture (preferably edited, if possible).

Our followers want to see pictures that are professionally taken. The better quality the more engaging it is to our followers.

4. Use key words when adding hashtags.

Be strategic when adding key-words, when we post on our platform, we like to make sure our followers are able to associate our brand with certain trigger words.

5. Post frequently.

This one is pretty straight forward, the more we post the more we keep our followers interested in our brand.

6. Pick your posts wisely.

You don’t want to post something controversial and get pushback from your followers.

Because of the position that you are in, you are a person of great influence. If you could inspire a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

We like to encourage our followers to donate to organizations they feel strongly about. For example, we donate to many organizations across the country that we hold near and dear to our hearts. Having a following on a platform like this makes it really easy to share with a wide range of people things that are important or spread an encouraging message, and we hope that inspires our followers to do the same.

Some of the biggest names in Business, VC funding, Sports, and Entertainment read this column. Is there a person in the world, or in the US with whom you would love to have a private breakfast or lunch with, and why? He or she might just see this if we tag them 🙂

Kelsea and I would love to have lunch with Beyoncé and Jay Z. We look up to them and we respect their business mindset and creativity. They separate their family life from their business, which is something we strongly value.

Thank you so much for these great insights. This was very enlightening!
